Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) was established in 1956 as the first national university of science and technology in Vietnam. Since then, HUST has made significant contributions to the industrialization and modernization processes of the country. Within HUST, the Department of Sustainable Energy (DoSE) carries out postgraduate training and research activities in the field of clean energy technologies.

Mai AnhDr.Nguyen Thi Mai Anh currently is lecturer of Hanoi university of Science and Technology. She has over 15 years of experiences in teaching and conducting research in energy and environment fields. Experts and analyst for many energy projects like Energy & International Development: Understanding Sustainable Energy Solutions in Developing Countries, promoting energy conservation in small and medium enterprises; promoting high efficiency of public lighting; Rural Electrification & Renewable Energy, assessment of energy policy in Vietnam in terms of sustainable development… Expertise includes organizing large scale of surveys to identify needs of target groups (training, technology transfer needs etc.) and conducting market research in the energy fields. She got PhD from Fribourg University (Switzerland, 2008).

Dr.Atit TippichaiDr.Hoang Luong Pham currently is Vice President of Hanoi University of Technology (HUT). Dr. Pham engaged in the postgraduate course on “Clean Course Technology and Carbon Sequestration” at the Energy field of study at School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD). An alumni of AIT (Master’s in Engineering in Energy in 1992), Dr. Pham has also served at AIT as a research specialist and affiliated faculty. Dr. Pham completed his doctoral studies in process engineering from Institute National Polytechnique de Toulouse (INPT), France in 1996. Since 2002, he has been serving at HUT. His research interests are clean coal technologies, renewable energy resources and technologies and energy efficiency.

Do Tien MinhDr.Do Tien Minh has been working at the School of Economics and Management (SEM), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) for more than 25 years as a full-time lecturer. He is an expert in energy planning and policy with special focus on energy efficiency improvement, energy system optimization and analysis of energy-economic-environmental interactions. Dr. Minh has involved in a series of energy projects at both national and international levels.
